§ 8. Major-General Sir Edward Spearsasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he has now studied the resolutions of the Conference of Arab States at Alexandria; and whether he has any statement to make.
§ Mr. EdenAs the discussions in regard to Arab unity are continuing in Cairo in accordance with the provisions of the Alexandria Protocol, it would be premature for me to make any statement except to repeat what has been already made clear, namely that His Majesty's Government are watching with sympathy and interest the efforts of the Arab States to reduce the barriers between them.
