§ 64. Mr. Petherickasked the Minister of Food what was the cost of his Department's advertisement under the heading "Food Facts Puzzle Corner" in the London "Times" newspaper of 28th December, 1944.
§ Colonel LlewellinSeventy-eight pounds.
§ Mr. PetherickAfter examining the advertisement in question does not the Minister agree that it was wholly puerile and an absolute waste of the taxpayers' money?
§ Colonel LlewellinI did see it, as a matter of fact, and I came prima facie to the same kind of conclusion as that of my hon. Friend; but I made inquiries when I got back to London, and I found it was an advertisement that was very generally appreciated. We had lots of evidence of that from a lot of houses up and down the country.
