89. Mr. Pearson

asked the Minister of Works whether he is aware of the acute shortage of slate tiles for roof repairs after the recent storm in South Wales; and will he arrange for early extra consignments of tiles to be dispatched to building merchants.

In order to accelerate the repair of damage caused by these storms an additional 48,000 slates have been dispatched to the area affected, during the past few weeks.
