HC Deb 28 February 1945 vol 408 c1379
61. Lieut.-Colonel Sir Thomas Cook

asked the Minister of Food if he is aware of difficulties experienced by the people of Aylsham, Norfolk, due to the distance of the food office at Norwich; and will he consider the appointment of a more local representative.

Colonel Llewellin

No complaints have reached my Ministry on this matter, although I understand that the local traders' association applied for a sub-food office to be set up in Aylsham some three years ago. The local food control committee then rejected the application.
