asked the Secretary of State for War within what range of prices wireless sets are being offered by the welfare organisation to British units in Italy; and whether supplies are sufficient to meet requests received.

The information asked for by my hon. and gallant Friend is not readily available. It has, however, now been decided to issue wireless sets free to all units as a part of their equipment on the scale of one for every 70 men, and I hope that we may even be able to improve on this scale.

Could the Minister say when he expects these wireless sets to be available for issue to units?

Subject to verification, I think, on that scale, by about May of this year.
