§ 21. Mr. W. J. Brownasked the Secretary of State for Air why no settlement has been effected of the claim made by Mr. Cecil Grant, an Air Service clerk, grade III, in respect of overtime worked between 6th December, 1941, and 10th February, 1942, while serving with the Works Directorate in Singapore, although the claim was made to his department on 10th October 1942, and has been the subject of frequent representations by the Civil Service Clerical Association since 12th February, 1943; and whether he will now ensure that payment is effected without further delay.
§ Sir A. SinclairI regret the delay which has taken place in connection with this claim and I have given instructions that immediate steps are to be taken to effect a settlement.
