asked the Minister of Health whether, in view of the fact that war-damage repairs can now only be carried out by local authorities, he will ensure that before local authorities nominate tenants for such repaired houses the owners or leaseholders will be given a fair opportunity to re-occupy them or let them.

Local authorities have no power to nominate tenants unless the houses belong to them or have been duly requisitioned by them. The question does not, therefore, normally arise.
