asked the Minister of Agriculture if he has now received replies from the National Union of Agricultural Workers, the National Farmers' Union and the other representative agricultural bodies whom he has consulted on a long-term policy.

I am unable at present to add to previous statements on the subject of long-term policy.

Can the Minister give an assurance that the Government will produce their long-term policy on agriculture before the General Election?
