§ 27. Mr. Spearmanasked the President of the Board of Trade why the supply of H.A.8. high-tension deaf aid batteries has fallen so far below the number promised; and if he will take steps to see that an adequate supply is maintained.
§ Mr. DaltonThis shortage is due to the heavy demands made upon the manufacturers for batteries for the Armed Forces. But I am glad to say that I have been able to arrange with my right hon. Friend the Minister of Supply for a considerable increase in the production of these batteries to take effect this month.
