asked the Minister of Agriculture whether he will allow married women to apply for appointments in the Agricultural Advisory Service.

Is the Minister aware that the form of application which has gone out in relation to these posts states that married women may not apply, and will he therefore change the form of application?

Mr. Williams

I understand that married women both can make, and have made, applications.

Mr. Eccles

May I send the Minister a copy of the form, because it states in black and white that married women may not apply?

Mr. Williams

Yes, I should like to see a copy.
