HC Deb 13 December 1945 vol 417 c587

The following Notice of Motion stood upon the Order Paper in the name of Squadron-Leader DONNER: Return of the names of all trade unions which have come into being since 1938; their latest, membership figure; the names of the unions covering the workers concerned at the time of the establishment of these new unions; and their Latest membership figure in the categories of workers afforded this duplicate representation.

Squadron-Leader Donner

On a point of Order. May I ask, Mr. Speaker, why the Notice of Motion on the Order Paper in my name asking for a return in connection with trade unions has not been called?

Mr. Speaker

The hon. and gallant Gentleman ought to be aware by now that consent was not given, and, that 'being so, he cannot move his Motion.

Squadron-Leader Donner

Further to that point of Order, Mr. Speaker. Is there any opportunity available for me to move this Motion?

Mr. Speaker

Not without consent.
