HC Deb 05 December 1945 vol 416 c2329
66. Mr. Glossop

asked the President of the Board of Trade if he is aware that there is only one chemist in Market Weighton; and whether he will reconsider his decision regarding the application of Messrs. Selles of Beverley, to reopen a chemist's shop in premises which, prior to the outbreak of war, had been used for that purpose upwards of 100 years; and if he is aware that the only other chemists are at Pocklington and Beverley being, respectively, eight and ten miles distant from Market Weighton.

The Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Trade (Mr. Ellis Smith)

The Local Price Regulation Committee have informed me that they are now granting a licence.
