HC Deb 22 August 1945 vol 413 c588
10. Commander Marsden

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if the bag service to the Middle East is available for correspondence to voluntary personnel working in Greece with U.N.R.R.A.

Mr. Bevin

Pending the establishment by U.N.R.R.A. of their own bag services, facilities are when necessary afforded by the Foreign Office for the transmission of certain classes of U.N.R.R.A. correspondence by diplomatic bag. Such facilities are at present available between this country and Greece. As normal postal and air mail services are now in operation between this country and Greece it is not proposed to extend this privilege. It is also expected that in the near future U.N.R.R.A. will establish their own facilities for transmitting correspondence between this country and Greece.
