§ The Minister of Labour (Mr. Ernest Bevin)Though originally I had not thought it possible to introduce this scheme until after the cessation of European hostilities, I have, after further consideration, decided that it can be brought 1952 into operation forthwith so that men now being discharged from the Forces on medical or other grounds may have the advantage of the scheme without delay.
