HC Deb 12 April 1945 vol 409 c1980
61. Mr. Driberģ

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if the black-out regulations will be deemed automatically to have been annulled, in those district in which they are still in force, when the end of the war in Europe is announced officially.

Mr. H. Morrison

It is my intention to remove the black-out restrictions in all districts at a date not later than the end of the war in Europe.

Mr. Gallacher

Will not the Home Secretary authorise the removal of baffle walls before the war ends?

Mr. Buchanan

In some of the great cities these things are terribly dangerous, and will the right hon. Gentleman consider asking local authorities to remove them?

Mr. Morrison

That is another subject, and questions covering it should be put down.
