§ The Secretary of State for War (Sir James Grigg)I have agreed with my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Burma that the Force Commander in Burma shall be vested with full administrative powers, and be assisted by a Civil Affairs Staff acquainted with the country and the people; and that as soon as operational conditions permit, normal civil administration under the Government of Burma will be resumed.
