HC Deb 25 October 1944 vol 404 c177
82. Mr. Summers

asked the Minister of Labour what arrangements regarding holidays and payments for work or authorised leave of absence have been agreed with representatives of workers in Royal Ordnance factories covering the period immediately following the cessation of organised resistance by Germany; and whether he has any general guidance to offer to those negotiating similar arrangements in the general industrial field.

The Joint Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Labour (Mr. Tomlinson)

My right hon. Friend is not in a position to make any statement on this matter at present.

Mr. Summers

Will the hon. Gentleman give an assurance that, as soon as the negotiations referred to are complete, he will make them available to the advantage of those affected?

Mr. Tomlinson

Yes, Sir.
