§ 38. Mr. Sloanasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he can give a date for the introduction of the Education (Scotland) Bill.
Mr. JohnstonI hope to introduce the Education (Scotland) Bill before the close of the present Session. I propose that the Bill should be given a First Reading only, so that before it is reintroduced next Session there will be an opportunity for full consideration and discussion of the Government's proposals by all parties.
