HC Deb 19 October 1944 vol 403 c2535
66. Mr. Edmund Harvey

asked the Minister of Town and Country Planning what progress has been made in preparing proposals for the formation of national parks.

The Minister of Town and Country Planning (Mr. W. S. Morrison)

I would refer the hon. Member to the reply which my hon. Friend the Parliamentary Secretary gave yesterday to the hon. Member for East Wolverhampton (Mr. Mander).

Mr. Harvey

That reply merely referred to the publication of a report. Could the Minister state whether any decision has been made, or any action taken?

Mr. Morrison

The action that has been taken is that an exhaustive survey of this problem has been made by my Department. That has been considered. I think the report should be in the hands of hon. Members, so that they may assist me with their views upon it.
