§ The Secretary of State for the Home Department (Mr. Herbert Morrison)As regards the police auxiliaries, I cannot add anything to my reply to the hon. Member's Question of 5th October. The position in the Civil Defence services will also be taken into consideration.
§ Mr. BrownIs the right hon. Gentleman not aware that several months have elapsed since this issue was put before him? Cannot he arrange to give decisions on such issues within a reasonable period of time?
§ Mr. MorrisonI try to, but there are many complications and repercussions about this. The flying bomb attacks distracted some attention from it at the time but I am dealing with the matter with all possible speed.
