§ Mr. BevinUnder the Conditions of Employment and National Arbitration Order, 1940, employers are required to observe such recognised terms and conditions of employment in the trade or industry in the district as have been settled by representative joint machinery. I am at present considering what further provision should be made to meet the requirements of the post-war position, but I am not yet able to make a statement on the subject.
