§ 42. Mr. Parkerasked the Minister of Education why permission has been refused for the purchase of land in connection with the needs of the South Hornchurch Council and Romford intermediate schools.
§ Mr. ButlerApproval of the purchase of the Romford site has not been refused: the local education authority has been asked for further particulars, which I am awaiting. I understand that the South Hornchurch site will not be required for some years, and it has been suggested to the local education authority that they should approach the local planning authority with a view to the site being reserved for educational purposes pending the time when its use for those purposes may become necessary.
