§ 52. Viscount Hinchingbrookeasked the Prime Minister whether a bonus will be given to members of the Armed Forces on demobilisation in order to place them in the same position as civilians who have saved out of the comparatively high wages being earned in industry; and what will be the approximate amount of this bonus.
§ 53. Mr. Bellengerasked the Prime Minister when an announcement will be made regarding the rates of war gratuities to be paid to service personnel.
§ The Prime MinisterProposals are being formulated for war gratuities for Service personnel, in addition to the other benefits set out in the recent White Paper on reallocation of man-power (Cmd. 6548). I hope that an announcement will be made before long.
