§ 56. Lieut-Colonel Dowerasked the Prime Minister whether a review will be undertaken by all Government Departments of the respective Statutory Rules and Orders affecting them passed since the outbreak of hostilities and which are now current, with a view to their removal as soon as their purpose is no longer necessary.
§ The Prime MinisterIt is the policy of His Majesty's Government that war-time Orders and Regulations should be revoked as and when they cease to be necessary, and, in pursuance of this policy, many Orders and Regulations made under Emergency Powers have already been revoked or modified. The matter is kept constantly under review, both by the Government and, I trust, by the House.
