§ 43. Sir Stanley Reedasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of War Transport whether he will concert, with the L.P.T.B., measures to improve the lighting at the principle tube stations.
§ Mr. Noel-BakerIn order to save fuel, the lighting of tube stations has been reduced, but I hope my hon. Friend will agree that, in general, it is not inadequate. If he will let me know of any stations at which, in his opinion, improvements are required, I will gladly consider the matter with the London Passenger Transport Board.
§ Sir S. ReedWill my hon. Friend accompany me on a nice dark night to the entrances to some of the tube stations? He will then find out what death traps they are.
