HC Deb 09 November 1944 vol 404 c1514
15. Major Leighton

asked the Minister of Health whether he will now take steps to get completed the houses at Weston Rhyn, near Oswestry, which were left unfinished at the outbreak of war.

The Minister of Health (Mr. Willink)

A great deal of work remains to be done on these houses, which, on average, are not above ground floor window-sill level, and in view of the overriding present need for concentrating available labour and materials on the repair of war damage, I should not yet feel justified in agreeing to their completion.
