HC Deb 09 November 1944 vol 404 cc1533-4
46. Sir I. Albery

asked the Prime Minister if a decision has now been taken as to the issue of the King's Badge to personnel discharged from the N.F.S. and C.D.

Mr. Attlee

This matter remains under consideration.

Sir I. Albery

As this Question has now been on the Order Paper three times, and the same answer has been given every time, may I ask my right hon. Friend whether he can now give some indication of when a reply may be received?

Mr. Attlee

I am afraid that I cannot give any indication. The matter is under very close consideration.

Sir I. Albery

Can my right hon. Friend say, for general information, when a matter is under close consideration, roughly how long it is necessary to wait for an answer?

Mr. Attlee

My hon. Friend has had a long experience in this House and is as well able to judge as I am.

Mr. McGovern

Can the right hon. Gentleman tell us whether President Roosevelt and Marshal Stalin will be required to be consulted in this matter?
