HC Deb 08 November 1944 vol 404 c1341
16. Mr. Ralph Etherton

asked the Secretary of State for Air whether, in view of the fact that the enemy are now preparing the Luftwaffe for the defence of Germany on a much more formidable scale than hitherto, he is satisfied that adequate steps are being taken to prepare our heavy bombers to meet this threat by equipping them with heavier armaments.

Sir A. Sinclair

Yes, Sir.

Mr. Etherton

Will the right hon. Gentleman give separate consideration to this matter to ensure that representations on the question of heavier armaments from those with operational experience in the R.A.F. are adequately considered?

Sir A. Sinclair

I do not think that my hon. Friend can have any idea of the constant consideration which is given to every aspect of this problem.
