HC Deb 07 November 1944 vol 404 c1243
28. Mr. Liddall

asked the Secretary of State for War what reduction has been made both in London and the country, in the number of quartering officers.

Sir J. Grigg

No reduction has yet taken place in the number of quartering commandants or their assistants in London or in the country, as there has been no appreciable reduction in the amount of work which these officers are called upon to do.
