§ 73. Lieut.-Commander Hutchison
asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he can make any statement as to the progress made by local authorities in Scotland in the payment of the increased rates of pension authorised by the Pensions (Increase) Act, 1944, to retired local government officers.
§ Mr. T. Johnston
I have no reason to suppose that there has been delay on the part of any local authorities in giving effect to the provisions of the Act; but if my hon. and gallant Friend wishes me to enquire into the position in any particular area I shall be glad to do so.
