§ Mr. BevinI assume that my hon. and gallant Friend is referring to the Regulations under Section 71 of the Factories Act as to the hours of young persons under 16 in various textile and allied industries. As contemplated by the Regulations, I have directed a public inquiry as to whether certain conditions specified in the Section are fulfilled and, pending the result of that inquiry, I am not in a position to make any statement as to the necessity-for continuing the Regulations.
