HC Deb 01 November 1944 vol 404 c787
29. Mr. Driberg

asked the Minister of Information what plans are being made for the use after the war of his Department's library of photographs; and if he will endeavour to ensure that this comprehensive pictorial survey of the British war effort shall not be dispersed or otherwise wasted.

The Minister of Information (Mr. Brendan Bracken)

When the Ministry of Information dissolves arrangements will certainly be made for preserving this collection of photographs as part of the record of the war.

Mr. Shinwell

When is it to be dissolved?

Mr. Bracken

The hon. Gentleman must not anticipate the blessings of peace.
