§ 38. Mr. Edmund Harveyasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether consideration has yet been given to the use of the Colonial Development Fund for the purchase of land for the purpose of creating small holdings and allotments in those West Indian Colonies in which there is no Crown land available, especially Antigua, Barbados and St. Kitts; and whether such purchase is practicable in the immediate future.
§ Colonel StanleyYes, Sir. Proposals for land settlement schemes, including small holdings, and the purchase of the necessary land, have already been approved for the West Indies including Antigua and St. Kitts. Others are now being considered.
