§ Sir J. GriggRepresentatives of the Agence Francaise Independente have been accredited as war correspondents to British Forces in North Africa and the Middle East. I understand that applications have been received for other theatres and are being considered.
§ Mr. BartlettIs it a fact that applications which have been received for French correspondents to go to their own country when the invading armies go there have not yet been accepted?
§ Sir J. GriggThat is a matter for the supreme Commander and not for the War Office.
§ Mr. BartlettWill the right hon. Gentleman try to bring pressure on the supreme Commander?
§ Mr. ShinwellIn view of the active participation of the French Forces in the war, can we be assured that no restriction will be imposed on any of these journalists?
