§ 31. Viscount Suirdaleasked the Secretary of State for India whether, in view of the fact that officers and men of the Indian Army are not covered by the scheme for the repatriation of British Army personnel who have served continuously for long periods overseas and in view of the hardship imposed upon such officers and men who have served in the East for many years, he is making arrangements for the granting of leave at home for such personnel; and when the granting of such leave will commence.
§ Mr. AmeryYes, Sir. Arrangements have already been made on a limited scale 329 and I hope that in the present year it will be possible to increase considerably the the number of British officers and men of he Indian Army to whom home leave can be granted.
