asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Works whether the Solid Fuel Installations Committee, which was appointed to make recommendations regarding grates in houses and flats, has yet reported; and how soon will its Report be made available to local authorities and builders.

Mr. Hicks

The report is in the hands of the printers and will be published as soon as possible.

Mr. Keeling

Is my hon. Friend aware that this report was printed in January and marked "confidential"? Why has it been withheld so long from publication?

Mr. Hicks

I am aware that it was printed early in the year. It is no responsibility of my Ministry that it has not been made available.
