HC Deb 17 May 1944 vol 400 cc157-8
11. Colonel Arthur Evans

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if the Inter-Allied Committee have submitted a plan to His Majesty's Government for the economic and financial disarmament of Germany; whether these terms have been considered by the Supreme War Council for inclusion in the armistice terms to Germany; and whether it is possible to publish the recommendations.

Mr. Eden

The Inter-Allied Committee have not communicated any such plan to His Majesty's Government. The second and third parts of the Question do not, therefore, arise.

Commander Locker-Lampson

Will the Government see that a condition of the peace terms is that Germany must give up the Kiel Canal, or make it an international highway?
