HC Deb 17 May 1944 vol 400 c163
17. Major Sir Jocelyn Lucas

asked the Secretary of State for Air if his attention has been called to the action of the Aljezur, Portugal, Council, in advertising for sale a Halifax bomber; whether this bomber is British property; and what action is being taken to prevent it becoming enemy property.

The Secretary of State for Air (Sir Archibald Sinclair)

I am informed that the aircraft offered for sale in Aljezur is a crashed German aircraft. No Halifax bomber has been advertised for sale in Portugal.
