63. Mr. Rostron Duckworthasked the President of the Board of Trade what sums have been paid out to business firms and private insurers, respectively, for war damage to equipment and to furniture.
§ Mr. DaltonStatements of receipts and payments for each financial year are laid before Parliament in accordance with the War Damage Act on or before 30th November next following the expiration of that year, except where, as in the cask of the Business Scheme, the Treasury have certified that it is inexpedient to do so. For the year ended 31st March, 1943, the amount paid out under the Private Chattels Scheme was £7,417,295 18s 11d.
