asked the Minister of Fuel and Power if he has now considered the Report of the Technical Committee appointed to examine the conclusions of the Severn Barrage Committee; and whether he is yet in a position to make a statement to the House.

I have nothing to add to the statement on this matter which my right hon. Friend made on the 2nd May in reply to a Question by the hon. Member for Stoke (Mr. Ellis Smith).

Could the hon. Gentleman give any indication to the House of how long it will take to furnish the information?

Mr. Smith

Yes, Sir, my right hon. and gallant Friend told the hon. Member for Stoke that he was treating this matter as one of urgency.
