asked the Secretary of State for War if he will take the necessary steps to ensure that all officers should see and initial any reports submitted on them.

Existing instructions make it clear that officers shall see and initial all confidential reports which are of an adverse nature or which recommend a change of employment. If my hon. Friend knows of cases where this has not been done, I will gladly have them looked into if he will send me particulars.
