§ Mr. WillinkAwards from Exchequer funds were made, on the general principles of the Workmen's Compensation Acts., in cases of death or permanent disablement, where the victim or his dependants were not otherwise provided for. The number of awards was 449, and the total amount paid up to the present date is about £80, 000.
