asked the Minister of Supply whether, in accordance with the Report of the National Expenditure Committee, the flax factories have been inspected by the factory inspectors; and whether they made any recommendations for the improvement of conditions of work.

Yes, Sir; and all practicable steps are being taken to improve the dust-extraction plants in these factories.

Are the factory inspectorate satisfied that everything possible is done?

Sir A. Duncan

Yes, Sir, they are cooperating fully with us.

Does the right hon. Gentleman mean the medical, as well as the lay, inspectorate?

Yes, Sir.
