§ 42. Sir A. Knoxasked the Secretary of State for War whether in the case of a man killed by enemy action before the award of a medal, the medal is awarded to his next-of-kin together with permission to wear the ribbon.
§ Sir J. GriggI would refer my hon. and gallant Friend to the reply I gave my hon. Friend the Member for Leigh (Mr. Tinker) on 4th April. When the medals have been issued, next-of-kin may properly wear them on Armistice Day or on the Sunday selected for Armistice celebrations.
§ Sir A. KnoxMeanwhile, is a ribbon being issued to these people?
§ Sir J. GriggI cannot say off-hand. I do not think so.
