§ 33. Mr. Thorneasked the Secretary of State for War if he can give any information in connection with the explosion on a farm at Eastingthorpe, Essex; and how many Home Guards were killed and injured.
§ Sir J. GriggI deeply regret that six members of the Home Guard were killed and three were injured as a result of an explosion, the cause of which is as yet unknown. A court of inquiry will be convened as soon as possible to carry out a full investigation.
