§ Mr. Noel-BakerThe joint committee of the local authorities have not yet sent me their views on the relative merits of the two schemes. When they do so I will certainly consider whether it is desirable that the schemes should be examined independently.
§ Mr. MathersIs my hon. Friend aware that examination on behalf of local authorities is being carried out by the engineers responsible for one of the schemes? Will he keep that in mind in considering the question of an independent examination of the position?
§ Mr. Noel-BakerYes, Sir, I will certainly keep that in mind.
§ Mr. GallacherWill my hon. Friend have copies of the plans that are in existence put in the Library for the benefit of Scottish and other Members who wish to see them?
