§ 16. Mr. R. J. Taylorasked the Secretary of State for Air, to what extent volunteers from the Dominions are serving in the R.A.F.; and are such airmen desiring to transfer to the air force of their Dominion of origin permitted to do so.
§ Captain BalfourI regret that it would not be possible without considerable research, which would not, I think, be justified, to say how many men of Dominion origin are still serving in the Royal Air Force. Applications for transfer to a Dominion Air Force are considered on their merits.
§ Mr. TaylorAm I right in assuming that when an application is made, it is considered on its merits?
§ Captain BalfourYes, it is considered on its merits. If the hon. Member has any particular case in mind I should be glad to look into it.
