HC Deb 21 March 1944 vol 398 cc659-60
36. Mr. Granville

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Dominion Affairs if he will propose to the coming conference of Dominion Prime Ministers the setting up of an Empire Air Board to supervise the development of civil air routes throughout the British Commonwealth of Nations.

The Under-Secretary of State for Dominion Affairs (Mr. Emrys-Evans)

The hon. Member's suggestion will be borne in mind, but it is not possible to forecast the course which discussions at the Prime Ministers' meeting will take.

Mr. Granville

Can the hon. Gentleman say if this suggestion was discussed at the recent Empire Conference on Civil Aviation in London; and has the suggestion been received by the Dominion Governments as well?

Mr. Emrys-Evans

I cannot answer that without notice.
