§ 9. Mr. Granvilleasked the Secretary of State for Air if it is intended to hold an international air-line conference in London in the near future; and whether his Department is to be represented at such a meeting.
§ Sir A. SinclairI understand that a company which operated services in this country before the war, has on its own initiative issued invitations to a number of air-line operators to attend a meeting in London in May. The arrangements for this meeting are entirely unofficial and the Air Ministry will not be represented. I should, perhaps, add that statements which have appeared in the Press to the effect that the meeting has the support of the Air Ministry are without foundation.
§ Mr. GranvilleDoes that mean that all the suggestions of official and governmental talks with the United States will be allowed to drop?
§ Sir A. SinclairNo, Sir, that is quite a different and a much larger question.
