11. Mr. Graham Whiteasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Works if he is in a position to state the policy of His Majesty's Government with regard to the ownership and life of temporary houses to be erected at the end of the war in Europe.
§ Mr. HicksI cannot add to what my Noble Friend has already stated in another place, namely, that the Government have decided that temporary houses, if approved, shall be publicly owned and licensed for a period. If and when the temporary houses are approved, the Government will have to determine the period of life for them.
